Alpine Rescue Canterbury relies on external funding and donations to conduct specific training, maintain gear, team clothing and other important rescue equipment.
Our team volunteer their time freely for no financial gain. We serve because it is important to us that anyone in need in the mountains receives the most efficient and safe rescue possible.
The equipment we use is not cheap and must be safety rated. This includes specialised stretchers, a medical trauma pack, ropes, lowering and raising hardware and avalanche rescue equipment. Please consider a donation to ARC to allow us to deliver the best possible alpine rescue service to the Canterbury region. If you would like to donate towards a specific item of equipment this would be gratefully accepted too.
